How to get to Lombok
Direct Flights to Lombok can be taken with Silkair from Singapore
to the airport Selaparang on Lombok three times a week on monday, thursday and saturday.
OzJet flys from Perth to Lombok once a week on sundays
Domestic Flights go from almost every bigger airport in Indonesia. Daily from
Denpasar (Bali), Jakarta, Yogjakarta and Surabaya.
Ferry or Speedboat connections exist from Bali (Benoa, Serangan and Padang Bai)
and Sumbawa (Poto Sano).
Tips
Be aware that airport tax is not included in the price of the ticket in Indonesia.
For international flights there is a fee of IDR 100.000 and for domestic flights
a fee of IDR 35.000, payable after check-in. It is favourable to pay in Rupiah
but US$ and EURO are accepted too.
If you don't apply for the visa in your home country you can get it on arrival.
For a stay up to 7 days it costs 8 US$, for a stay up to 30 days it's 25 US$.
IMPORTANT! Check your visa carefully before you enter Indonesia. The penalty for overstay
is 25 US$ per day up to 6 days maximum. If a foreigner
has an accident or CAN not leave the country for any other reason he MUST
report to the next immigration office.
Be aware that indonesia has 3 different time zones. That can be important
if you travel through the country. Always check departure- and arrival-times
of the vessels you want to use.
